CDF Grant Recipient:

Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center

The Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center (MVNHC) provides comprehensive health services to thousands of residents and families in Mount Vernon and the surrounding areas. In 2015, MVNHC served almost 12,000 patients under the age of 21.

The Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center Network owns and operates three health center satellites: the MVNHC, the Greenburgh Health Center and the Yonkers Community Health Center.

Grants Awarded:
  • Pediatric Treatment Room2022 - Pediatric Wellness

    CDF donated funds to equip a new pediatric treatment room with an exam table, vital signs monitor with oximeter attachment, a pulse oximeter, a pediatric scale and an infant scale.

  • childhood vaccinations2021 - Pediatric Wellness

    CDF's grant helped to hire a community health worker who would encourage higher vaccination rates for children in the community.

    CDF gave 330 bicycle and BMX helmets to Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center to be distributed as part of their childhood trauma prevention program.

  • Baby Getting Injection2019 - Pediatric Wellness

    CDF's grant provided funds to purchase a transport vehicle for school age children as part of MVNHC's Childhood Vaccination Program

  • Young Girl on Bike2018 - Trauma Prevention

    CDF gave 370 bicycle and BMX helmets to Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center to be distributed as part of their childhood trauma prevention program.

    CDF donated 400 bicycle and BMX helmets as part of MVNHC's childhood trauma prevention program.

  • fast-track-program2006 - Pediatric Wellness

    CDF gave equipment to establish a Fast Track in their Pediatric Department which enables children to be seen and evaluated more quickly. Equipment included two vision screeners, two audioscopes, four nebulizers, and four exam tables.
