One of CDF’s earliest initiatives was to ensure that all area hospitals had at least one Broselow Cart in their ER for pediatric emergencies. Broselow Carts are used by emergency room professionals to have quick access to properly sized medical supplies and dosage instructions for children up to approximately 12 years of age. Height and weight measurements of the patient provide a color code which matches the color drawer on the cart containing the medical supplies suitable for them. This helps to cut down on the time it takes to begin patient care and to improve medical outcomes. EMTs use Broselow Soft Pac, a portable version of the Broselow Cart.
