Teen Health

Teen-Health-Bill-RightsTeenagers, especially in special populations, need to be informed about their rights to health care so that they can advocate for themselves as they move into adulthood. Pediatricians, rather than parents, are often at the forefront of communicating good health practicies and available health care resources. The “Teen Health Bill of Rights”, a professionally written, designed and printed booklet, is a free guide that details which health care services are available to teens toreceive in confidence and at low cost. On its fourth printing, almost 200,000 copies have been distributed to pediatricians, hospitals, school based health centers and other agencies throughout the Hudson Valley.
