2013 Grant Awards

io-device
Intraosseous infusion devices like this one are used in emergency situations to provide fluids and medication when intravenous access is not available or not feasible.

CDF has announced their 2013 grant awards to area hospitals and healthcare centers. This year’s grant recipients include:

  • Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow, NY. CDF will fund pediatric intraosseous infusion (I/O) device training. I/O devices provide emergency professionals with vascular access to the central circulation within seconds thereby quickly and safely resuscitating critically ill or injured children.
  • The Children’s Rehabilitation Center in White Plains, NY. Our grant will renovate the aquatic physical therapy area to include a changing room and a motorized changing table.
  • Greenburgh Health Center in Greenburgh, NY. CDF will equip areas of the pediatric department at the new facility.
  • St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY. CDF will establish two adolescent treatment rooms in the mental health department. One room will be in the Emergency department for young people in crisis and the second room will be in the Outpatient unit.
