CDF Announces 2024 Grants

The Children’s Dream Foundation is pleased to announce their 2024 grant awards to the following organizations to support the ever-growing medical needs of children in our communities.

Blythdale Children’s Hospital – CDF provided funds for the purchase of a SYNCLARA Cough System, used to clear mucus from the upper airways of patients who have difficulty coughing on their own.

Open Door Family Medical Center – CDF’s grant will fund the purchase of all support equipment for the transformational renovation of their two health center buildings in Ossining. The equipment focuses on scales and measurement of infants and children as well as two new vaccine freezers to ensure proper storage of vaccines for distribution.

Phelps Hospital – CDF will provide the funding for the new Phelps Readiness for Pediatric and Infant Resuscitation Program or “PRePaRe Program” which includes the development and implementation of a rapid response and code blue response for the care of pediatric patients. In addition, the grant will fund equipment needed for pediatric resuscitation and to respond to pediatric emergencies in their Emergency Department, in the surgical setting or in one of their many outpatient areas.

St. John’s Riverside Hospital – CDF’s grant will fund the purchase of pediatric care items including a new pediatric scale, 2 boxes of pediatric ENT foreign body balloon extractors, and a nasal atomization device.

Westchester Community College’s School of Health Careers, Technology and Applied Learning  – CDF provided funds for the purchase of a Laerdal SimNewBorn Dark Plus Accessories to be used to educate healthcare providers, students and emergency responders in their programs.

Westchester Community Health Center (formerly MVNHC) – CDF’s grant will cover the purchase of all equipment for a pediatric treatment room at their new walk-in center in Yonkers.

Westchester Medical Center / Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital – CDF’s grant will go towards the purchase of equipment for their dedicated 400 square foot Pediatric Rehabilitation Gym on the 3rd floor of the MFCH. The Pediatric rehabilitation Gym will provide comprehensive care to children and adolescents with physical, developmental or cognitive challenges.
