CDF is pleased to announce our 2019 grant awards to the following organizations:
Blythedale Children’s Hospital, Valhalla, NY – CDF’s grant will fund the purchase of equipment to train parents and caregivers in order to better care for children after they are discharged to their homes. The equipment may include a LTV Ventilator, Sim Manequin with Tracheotomy, pulse oximeters, suction machines, feeding pumps and infant cribs and changing tables.
El Centro Hispanico, White Plains, NY – CDF donated 75 bicycle helmets to be distributed at their annual community Bike Rodeo event which emphasizes bicycle safety.
Greenburgh Health Center, Greenburgh, NY – CDF donated 340 bicycle and BMX helmets to Greenburgh Health Center to distribute at their health fair.
Elizabeth Seton Children’s Center, Yonkers, NY – CDF’s grant funds the purchase of a Transnasal Endoscopy System. This portable unit will allow children to receive exams on site, reducing travel to outside clinics. Every child at Elizabeth Seton Children’s Hospital has a compromised respiratory system that requires constant monitoring.
Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, Valhalla, NY – CDF’s grant enables the purchase of a Mobile Optical Detection Technologies Portable EVA SANE System. The EVA System is used for sexual assault examinations and enables the examining medical provider to focus on the patient while easily capturing forensic findings.
Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, Valhalla, NY. – CDF donated 1,000 bicycle helmets as part of their Childhood Trauma Injury Prevention Program. These bicycle helmets are to be given to income appropriate families at community safety fairs.
Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center, Mount Vernon, NY – CDF is funding the purchase of a van to transport children under school age for vaccinations as part of Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center’s Vaccine Incentive Program which serves Mount Vernon and Yonkers. Transportation has been considered the main obstacle to immunization. Parents would also be educated about the importance and need for vaccinations.
Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center, Mount Vernon, NY – CDF donated 330 helmets to Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center as part of their childhood trauma prevention program.
New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY – CDF’s grant enables the purchase of a Lecat’s Ventrilophone Complete Pediatric Master System. This tool is used in teaching early detection of cardiovascular and pulmonary disease.
Phelps Hospital, Sleepy Hollow, NY – CDF’s grant funds the purchase of a new tetherless SimBaby and ShockLink system for the Hoch Center for Emergency Education. The tetherless SimBaby in combination with the ShockLink System will enable more realistic defibrillator training for infants.
Yonkers Community Health Center, Yonkers, NY – CDF donated 330 helmets to Yonkers Community Health Center to distribute to their patients as part of their childhood trauma prevention program.
City of White Plains Youth Bureau, White Plains, NY – CDF donated 52 bicycle and BMX helmets to the City of White Plain’s Youth Bicycle Safety Program.
