CDF is pleased to announce their 2018 grant awards to the following organizations.
Greenburgh Health Center, Greenburgh, NY – CDF donated 370 bicycle and BMX helmets to Greenburgh Health Center to distribute at their health fair.
El Centro Hispano, White Plains, NY – CDF donated 75 bicycle helmets to be distributed at their annual community Bike Rodeo event which emphasizes bicycle safety.
Hudson River Health Care, Peekskill, NY – Our grant provided funds to help train medical personnel in suicide prevention through outreach, engagement and education for children, adolescents and their families at their Yonkers and Peekskill sites.
Hudson River Healthcare, Peekskill, NY – CDF donated 1,150 bicycle and BMX helmets which were distributed in early summer at their 19 neighborhood health center locations in the Hudson Valley.
MidHudson Regional Hospital, Poughkeepsie, NY – CDF’s grant provides funds for the purchase of a second pediatric Glidescope AV for MidHudson Regional Hospital’s Emergency Room Department to enable them to handle multi-trauma incidents simultaneously.
Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center, Mount Vernon, NY – CDF donated 370 helmets to Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center as part of their childhood trauma prevention program.
New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY – Our grant will fund the purchase of a Premature Anne SimPad Plus manikin system for their Clinical Skills Simulation Center. This simulator will be used by students, Westchester Medical Center and Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital personnel as well as community healthcare providers to help train for providing critical care to pre-term infants.
Phelps Hospital – CDF will fund the purchase of a second pediatric simulation manikin, SimJunior for Phelps’ Center for Emergency Education. Sim Junior is a realistic six-year old interactive simulator designed to train for life threatening emergencies.
White Plains Hospital, White Plains, NY – CDF’s grant will be used to purchase a SimJunior simulator for their new Simulator Center.
Yonkers Community Health Center, Yonkers, NY – CDF donated 380 helmets to Yonkers Community Health Center to distribute to their patients as part of their childhood trauma prevention program.
