White Plains Hospital Center

White Plains HospitalFounded in 1893, White Plains Hospital Center is a general medical and surgical hospital located in White Plains, New York. A member of the Montefiore Health System network, White Plains Hospital has a total of 292 patient beds and has a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

White Plains Hospital provides a range of pediatric services – including emergency and urgent care, pediatric surgery, pediatric specialty care services and a family health center. The Emergency Department cares for approximately 9,000 children each year and is able to handle any pediatric emergency, with nine private rooms and five additional overflow beds. On the inpatient side, White Plains Hospital has four pediatric inpatient rooms and sees approximately 300 pediatric patients a year. The Hospital has a  Pediatric Hospitalist team of board-certified pediatricians who coordinate inpatient pediatric care.

White Plains Hospital’s on-site Family Health Center provides adult and pediatric primary and specialty care services to medically underserved populations.

    CDF provided funds to purchase four humidifiers to administer respiratory therapy to patients.

  • Pupils on SimJunior2018 - Training

    CDF provided funds for White Plains Hospital Center to purchase a SimJunior simulator for their Training Simulator Program.

  • EZ-IO-trainer2017 - Training

    CDF provided funds to purchase a Glidescope with pediatric capability and an EZ IO task trainer for their simulation center.

  • Pediatric glidescope2016 - Pediatric Glidescopes

    CDF provided funds to update White Plain Hospital's existing pediatric Glidescope.

  • Pediatric glidescope2012 - Pediatric Glidescopes

    CDF provided funds to purchase a Glidescope - a life-saving tool in helping to secure a patient's airway in a critical situation.

  • Veinlite2011 - Veinlites

    CDF donated a two veinlites - a hand-held device that allows emergency workers to quickly and efficiently locate veins.

  • WPH-Vision Screener2010 - Pediatric Wellness

    CDF grant enabled the purchase of an audiometer and a vision screener for the White Plains Hospital's Family Health Center. These devices will be used to screen children for basic eye and hearing abnormalities.

  • Neopuff Ventilator2009 - Neopuff Infant Respirators

    CDF donated two Neopuffs to White Plains Hospital Center. Neopuff respirators provide resuscitation for premature babies and newborns.

  • White Plains Room 342008 - Pediatric Treatment Areas

    CDF gave a grant to help construct the Pediatric Care Center in their new Emergency Room.

  • Pediatric glidescope2003 - Pediatric Glidescopes

    CDF provided funds to purchase a Glidescope for the White Plains Neonatal Department. The Glidescope is a life-saving tool in helping to secure a patient's airway in a critical situation.
