CDF’s grant of a SimCart Mobile and computer upgrades is helping Phelp’s Hospital bring more pediatric emergency training resources to our region. SimCart Mobile allows trainers the flexibility to move their equipment out of their simulation lab to run in-place training in other locations.
Last year, pediatric simulators donated by CDF to Phelp’s Hoch Center for Emergency Education enabled 128 nurses from 12 local hospitals to be trained in Pediatric Advance Life Support. Mobile hardware brought simulators to Phelp’s Special Care Nursery in their Maternity Department to conduct three AAP/AHA Neonatal Resuscitation programs and to their Emergency Room as part of their Pediatric Emergency Drill.
